MY FIRST SEASON IN 2007 2008 YEAR IN REVIEW THE SHORT 2009 SEASON 2010 AND 2011 SKIPPED AIMING FOR 2012 OEM SPECIFICATIONS FRAME ALTERATIONS SUSPENSION UPGRADES BRAKE CHANGES RACING BODYWORK MOTOR MODIFICATIONS CARBURATION CHALLENGES IGNITION IMPROVEMENTS EXHAUST OPTIONS With the idea of upgrading the TZR250 from its original conception, I wanted to change the rims, forks, rear shock and the bodywork among other things. In essence a whole new bike. So I've sold the old rolling chassis and am now starting from a bare frame I got from Australia. I'll update all the sections as I go and we'll see how it turns out in the end. The main reason for the serious upgrade was for tire choice. I feel that with a set of proper slicks the bike will handle and feel so much better on the track. In addition to the wheels I'll also upgrade the suspension front and rear. Then we'll take a look at the motor and see if we can't get a few more HP out of it.
This main page will get updated with pics of the bike as it progresses through the build.
